Kaduna Customs Exceeds Revenue Target By N500 Million – The Kaduna/Katsina command of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has said that it exceeded targeted revenue by over N500 million last month.
Speaking to newsmen yesterday, the Area Controller, Abdulrazak Oyeleke, said the command generated a total of N852,064,139 in August.
Oyeleke said the amount surpassed the monthly target of N342,040,070, and amounts generated on monthly basis for the year.
He also said that the command made a total of 81 seizures with a Duty Paid Value (DPV) of over N32.7 million in the month under review.
Some of the items seized include 606 bags of 50kg foreign rice, 28 cars, one truck and two motorcycles.
Others are 239 bags of 50kg imported sugar, 327 jerry cans of 25-litre vegetable oil and 73 bales of used clothing.
