Effective legislation involves listening to those you represent – Engr Bankole Dare

In the just concluded PDP House of Representatives primaries, where the good people of Oke-Ero, Isin, Irepodun and Ekiti LGAs in Kwara state gathered to pick who wields their mantle during the next general elections, Engr Bankole Dare emerged the preferred candidate.

Here is the full text of his acceptance speech afterward:

THANK YOU FOR HONOURING ME WITH YOUR CONFIDENCE!

“I am immensely grateful to the people of OKE-ERO/ISIN/IREPODUN & EKITI, loyal supporters, fellow contestants and our party leadership who so generously contributed their time and efforts towards my emergence as the candidate to represent our great party, the PDP in the general election for OKE-ERO/ISIN/IREPODUN & EKITI federal constituency!

It is not a victory for me only, but for all of us and our great party, the PDP. I am deeply moved by the expression of confidence from all the four local governments, I thank you from the bottom of my heart.

And to my fellow contestants, we are all winners. I have never seen you for once as rivals but party men who only tried to get the best from the show. I thank you too and seek your corporations to ensure our party wins the seat.

Needless to remind everyone that this is just the first hurdle, now we need to go all out and work for our great party, the PDP and its candidates to ensure we come out victorious in the general elections come 2019.

Effective legislation involves listening to constituents, translating their concerns into workable solutions and assemble a team of champions to implement such. I will not disappoint my constituents and my party if eventually elected, so help me God.
Once again, I say thank you to all stakeholders”.

The philanthropist, Engr Bankole Dare, will be flying PDP’s flag in the coming general elections and hopes to get the votes of the masses in his Constituencywhom he deep-heartedly wants to serve.
